Project name: Farm & Fish
Description: The idea consists in persuading farmers to water their vegetation with water coming from an aquarium with fish (also kept in the farm). The aim is the use of fish waste which is very useful for vegetation. The group is also working towards the creation of a web site with the purpose of connecting farmers, who have implemented the project, with businesses and displaying them on a map.

The Intelligent Minds Project Competition is a national technology competition oriented to high-school students organized by EPOKA University. We invite all high school students to use their imagination and passion to create a technology solution that addresses the Intelligent Minds Project Competition in the following categories: a) IT Project competition, b) Computer Art, c) IT Project Idea, and d) Online Programming.
Epoka University attended the final phase with two projects “Albanian Business Search”, a project which was presented by Xheni Abedini, Stivi Ajazi, Arjola Grembi and Sabri Nuzi and “Ecobooth” presented by Sabah Bushi, Oriola Gjetaj and Egi Shijaku.
Albanian Business Search project aims at helping the people and businesses to publish their contacts and location into a web-based searchable portal. The idea is quite the same with the concept of Yellow Pages, but it has more functionality and may be accessed free online.
While the Ecobooth project aims at helping to clean the environment around us. This project uses the advantages of the smartphone to take a picture of the polluted area and send it to a public institution through the Ecobooth application. Then the public institution will contact the responsible company to clean the area that was reported to them. The application is using Windows Phone and .NET C# Technology for the phone application and the Web Server Side.
Imagine Cup is an annual competition sponsored and hosted by Microsoft Corp. which brings together young technologists worldwide to help resolve some of the world's toughest challenges. The Imagine Cup comprises five major technology competitions, including Software Design, and four challenges (although the challenge number is updated annually). All Imagine Cup competitors create projects that address the Imagine Cup theme: "Imagine a world where technology helps solve the toughest problems". Started in 2003, it has steadily grown in size, with more than 358,000 competitors representing 183 countries and regions in 2012. The Imagine Cup Worldwide finals have been held all over the globe. The Imagine Cup 2013 Worldwide Finals will be held in Russia in July 2013.
This is the second year in a row for the Microsoft Imagine Cup - Albania. It is a chance for the country’s young professionals to compete with like-minded peers and to be recognized for the technical abilities by industry leaders and academics. Further to the regional competition, the teams may apply for the worldwide final and, if successful, advance to the worldwide Imagine Cup finals in Russia in July 2013.
